Work: M-F I'm the SSI (janitor) in the Medical Clinic. Sat and Sun I'm the Unit Artist, currently painting a mural in the Inmate Beauty Shop.

Currently reading: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bront ("home"), Hawaii by James A. Michener (work breaks), and Through Russia by Maxim Gorki (Edovo, educational app).

Recently finished books: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, and Under the Volcano by Malcolm Lowry.

Favorite author: David Foster Wallace, previous favorite Hermann Hesse.

Favorite movie genres: Comedy and horror. Fittingly the last 2 movies I've watched were Deadpool and Wolverine and Life, both with Ryan Reynolds.

Current series: The Flash. Recently watched: all 10 seasons of Smallville and The Librarians seasons 1-4.

I have a folder of poetry and short stories that I’ve written. Last year I won a poetry contest but I’m still not confident that I’m much better than mediocre. I would love to find a Pen Pal who is a writer, I could totally edit, critique, and help with plot ideas!

Mostly I’m looking for someone to discuss interesting things. And maybe take the time to occasionally look up the weird random stuff I wonder about when I come across stuff in my reading. I don’t currently subscribe to the news, but I could if I had a Pen Pal who wanted to discuss current affairs and was willing to fact check (you can’t always take AP reporting at face value).
